Beginner Beekeeping Workshop 17th May at 12h00

Are you interested in beekeeping but you don't know where to start? Or are you simply fascinated by bees and want to learn more? This course is designed for individuals with little to no beekeeping experience.

This is a practical course that takes place in one of our apiaries. After suiting up in protective gear we start with the basics, like how to start your smoker and what tools you need. Together, we open numerous hives and discuss how a hive functions and proper hive management. Common mistakes and how to avoid making them are also discussed. This course provides you with the knowledge needed to get you started off on the right foot with your own hive.

We provide you with full protective suits and gloves. If you have your own suit, feel free to bring it with you. This is a beginner's course, for those with little to no beekeeping knowledge. Please consult our list for more advanced courses.

Courses last approximately 3 hours, in a group of 10 to 15 people maximum, directly on our farm 3847 Dunant Street, Sherbrooke.

Please arrive 15 minutes early if you need to borrow a protective suit.
