Fume Board

Designed for beekeepers who want to simplify the removal of bees from a super or hive box, this Fume Board is a practical and efficient solution for clearing bees before certain hive interventions. It is made to drive bees down into the lower box, whether for honey harvesting or to make queen excluder installation easier.

This board is used together with a repellent product such as Fischer’s Bee Quick or Bee Repel, which must be sprayed inside the Fume Board before it is placed on top of the box that needs to be cleared. The smell encourages the bees to leave the super and move downward, making hive work faster and more efficient in the apiary.

Its effectiveness depends on specific conditions, as it works only on hot and sunny days. The heat from the sun warms the board, which activates the product and allows it to spread through the hive.
